2023 MY GOLF PROGRAM
Overview
The Goldfields Golf Club (GGC) will launch its 2023 Junior Programs on Sunday 30th April 2023.
MyGolf is the national junior grass roots golf program promoted by Golf Australia and the PGA. The GGC will deliver this program on selected Sunday mornings (6 sessions) during Term 2.
We have reviewed our recent past years’ programs and have made some changes that we believe will better for our participants (athletes) in terms of relating our lessons and mentoring to appropriate abilities and age groupings. We believe this will have the benefit of more targeted skills coaching relevant to age, skill level and experience and will allow general enjoyment of athletes in similar groups with more coaches and mentors overseeing the sessions. We also welcome any parent/carer to involve themselves in the activities on these Sunday mornings. It provides a sound level of support to the coaches.
Whilst we do not intend to impose age limits, we see the My Golf program as being more suited to 6 to 12 year olds or those at entry level to golf.
These Term 2 sessions are aimed at preparing our athletes for on course play during Term 3 culminating in 2023 GGC Sub – Junior Championships.
Apart from a refreshers session early in Term 3, we will get our athletes on course to play a select number of holes in team and individual format over 6 selected Sundays.

- Sunday, May 7th – Lesson 2
- Sunday, May 14th – Lesson 3
- Sunday, May 28th – Lesson 4
- Sunday, June 11 – Lesson 5
- Sunday, June 25 – Lesson 6
Break – School Holidays July 3rd to July 16th
My Golf – Term 3
- Sunday, July 23rd – Lesson 7 (Refresher)
- Sunday, July 30th – Junior League on course Round 1
- Sunday, August 6th – Junior League on course Round 2
- Sunday, August 13th – Junior League on course Round 3
- Sunday, September 3rd – Individual on course Round 1
- Sunday, September 10th – Individual on course Round 2
- Sunday, September 17th – GGC Sub Junior Championships (Individual)
Time: 8.00am to 9.30am
Cost: Term 2 ($100.00 per athlete) Term 3 (No charge, but must have completed Term 2)

Senior Coaching Personnel: Accredited Community Coaches with current WWC credentials and Kalgoorlie Golf Course Head Professional (PGA Qualified)
Our maximum intake will be 40 athletes in 2023 so register early.
